Hi everyone, I wanted to explain why I might be AWOL from the site/email for awhile. I had a bad accident. I got plowed down by Spike (accidentally of course), while I was outside taking CoCo for a walk. Spike came barreling down the mountain, hit an area where a spring comes up out of the ground that was very wet and he slid and went airborne. He ended up colliding with my legs around the area of my knees, sending me airborne (so high, I would have never thought possible) and I came down in a way that legs should never go. Pretty much my entire left leg is shot. I heard my bones break when I fell. My ankle was folded up under me, bent so far over that my foot was folded completely over, against the outside of my leg. I don't tend to gross out easily but I almost threw up when I looked at it.

I screamed for help but no one was close enough to hear me. I had to crawl for help on two hands and one knee, dragging my mangled leg. It was so painful that it made my 12 hour labor with my son Will, with no drugs, seem like a cake walk. It was freezing cold and I was fighting to stay conscious. CoCo was such a sweetheart. She was worried sick about me and kept licking my face which actually helped me to stay alert. I thought that if I could make it to our vehicle that I could maybe blow the horn until someone heard me, but when I got to the SUV I realized that I couldn't reach the door handle. So I kept crawling toward the house. Thankfully Chuck was home at the time and after I made it a few feet onto our sidewalk he heard me screaming for help and he came to my rescue.

I am home from the hospital now and in a lot of pain. It's hard to sit up and type. I just wanted to post something so that nobody would think I was ignoring them, if I don't make it to the computer for awhile.

If anybody wants to send some prayers my way, that would be deeply appreciated.
