The Gerbils

We got our first pair of gerbils when a friend of ours was going thru a divorce and needed to find homes for some of her gerbils. Now we have several. I have had mice, guinea pigs, and all sorts of rodent-type pets many years ago and I have to say that gerbils are by far the most entertaining to watch. They learn their names, they love it when you talk to them, and they will beg for treats and food much like a dog. And they are a very affordable small pet, if someone is looking for something like that. But it is important that you do provide the environment and companionship that they need. (For example gerbils do best when housed in same sex pairs.) If you happen to have any questions about gerbils, feel free to ask and I'll help you out if I can.
